Phone number numerology: lucky numbers, sums and pairs
Enter a phone number to see its sum, every digit pair by position, the Kalakini check for your day of birth and an overall score with every step explained. Compare up to five numbers; free, and your number is never stored.
How to use the number checker
- Type a phone number. Dashes, spaces and +66 are all fine; it is converted to the Thai form starting with 0.
- Choosing a new number? Tap “Add a number” to compare up to five; results are ranked by score.
- Pick your day of birth to check the Kalakini digit and supportive digits under Thai Taksa. Without it, only the sum and the pairs are scored.
- Read the result: the overall score, the sum and its meaning, every pair by position, the number's dominant planet and any easy-to-remember patterns. Tap a sum or pair for its full meaning.
Numbers you type are never sent anywhere or saved; only your chosen day of birth is remembered on this device.
How TarotMod reads a number
Thai phone numerology applies the planet numbers of Thai astrology to digits. Schools differ in the details, so every step of ours is written down for you to check. The same number always gives the same result; nothing is random.
1. Each digit is a planet. 1 Sun, 2 Moon, 3 Mars, 4 Mercury, 5 Jupiter, 6 Venus, 7 Saturn, 8 Rahu, 9 Ketu and 0 Uranus, as in Thai astrology.
2. The sum. Add up every digit. The sum gives the number's overall character, and a two-digit sum is read like a pair of planets: 45 is Mercury leading Jupiter. Most Thai mobile numbers add up to between 30 and 60.
3. The pairs. Read the number in overlapping pairs, starting after the leading 0 every Thai number shares. Each pair has one of five grades, from very good to avoid, following the broad agreement of Thai phone numerology, and is weighted by position.
| Position | Where | Weight | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| network prefix | Digits 2–3 of a mobile, e.g. 81 in 081 | ×0.5 | Set by the network; little choice |
| middle | Pairs in the middle | ×1 | The number's background energy |
| last four | Pairs inside the last four digits | ×1.5 | What people remember, say and see most |
| final pair | The last two digits | ×2 | Most schools treat it as the closing pair that sets the outcome |
4. Taksa. With a day of birth, each Kalakini digit in the number takes off 3 points (12 at most) and another 2 if it is in the last four digits; each Det, Si or Montri digit adds 1.5 (6 at most).
5. The score. Start at 50, add 13 × the weighted average of the pair grades and 9 × the sum's grade, take off 4 for each pair rated “avoid” in the last four digits, then apply Taksa. The result runs from 0 to 100: very good (80+), good (65–79), fair (50–64), caution (35–49), not recommended (below 35).
Example: 081-234-5678 adds up to 44; its pairs are 81 (Caution, ×0.5), 12 (Caution, ×1), 23 (Good, ×1), 34 (Avoid, ×1), 45 (Very good, ×1), 56 (Very good, ×1.5), 67 (Caution, ×1.5), 78 (Good, ×2); it scores 63, “fair”.

Lucky numbers by day of birth
Taksa sorts the eight planets into eight roles counted from your birth-day planet. For phone numbers the roles that matter most are Kalakini (avoid) and Det, Si and Montri (favour). Wednesday is split into day (06:00–18:00) and night, which counts as Rahu.
| Born on | Day planet | Kalakini | Det · Si · Montri |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sunday | 1 Sun | 6 | 3 · 4 · 8 |
| Monday | 2 Moon | 1 | 4 · 7 · 6 |
| Tuesday | 3 Mars | 2 | 7 · 5 · 1 |
| Wednesday | 4 Mercury | 3 | 5 · 8 · 2 |
| Wednesday night | 8 Rahu | 5 | 1 · 2 · 7 |
| Thursday | 5 Jupiter | 7 | 6 · 1 · 4 |
| Friday | 6 Venus | 8 | 2 · 3 · 5 |
| Saturday | 7 Saturn | 4 | 8 · 6 · 3 |
Choosing a new number wisely
- Check the last four digits first. If you must choose between a good sum and a good ending, choose the ending: it is what people remember and what Thai books weigh most.
- Do not chase a perfect 100. A number rated good or better with no Kalakini digit in the last four is fine. High prices for “golden” numbers usually reflect how memorable they are, such as triples or runs, not the power of the digits.
- You can keep your number. In Thailand you can switch networks and keep the same number.
- Recycled numbers may still be linked to a previous owner's online accounts, banking apps or PromptPay, and may receive calls for them. Try signing up to the apps you use most before relying on the number for anything important.
- Buy from a network or a shop you can verify, and register the SIM in your own name as Thai law requires.
Keeping it in proportion
There is no scientific evidence that the digits in a phone number change anyone's fortune, and plenty of successful people use ordinary numbers. What a lucky number can genuinely give is peace of mind and a little confidence every time you share it, which has value of its own. Use the analysis as one input when choosing, do not worry if a number you have had for years scores modestly, and never pay a large sum out of fear.
Frequently asked questions
Is phone number numerology accurate?
There is no scientific evidence that a phone number changes your life. Phone numerology is a cultural belief that gives peace of mind. This tool explains every step so you can decide for yourself; it does not predict the future.
Should I look at the sum or the pairs first?
Both, but if you must choose, most Thai schools weigh the pairs in the last four digits more. A good sum with a bad final pair can do worse than an average sum with good pairs throughout.
Does the leading 0 count?
A 0 does not change the sum. For the pairs we start after the leading 0, which every Thai number shares, and the network prefix pair gets only half weight.
Why do other sites give different results?
Schools grade some pairs differently and weigh positions differently. TarotMod uses the grades most Thai books agree on and publishes the whole scoring method on this page.
My current number scores low. Should I change it?
Not necessarily. If life and work are going well, keep it. If it bothers you and changing is not a burden, choosing a new number you like is a reasonable option.
What is a Kalakini digit?
In Taksa, Kalakini is the planet that works against people born on a given day. Its number is traditionally kept out of phone numbers, names and licence plates; for Monday-born people it is 1.
